From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been working to create smart solutions that help in the daily fight against the virus. With the aim of reducing the diffusion speed of SARS-CoV-2, our laboratory has developed a line of technical fabrics with antibacterial and antimicrobial properties.
Considering the structure of coronaviruses, we have applied a treatment with an inhibitory effect that reduces the number of virus particles that come into contact with the textiles surface, reducing the potential for pandemic transmission.

These fabrics with our virus inhibition effect treatment are able to reduce the number of virus (including SARS-CoV-2) particles that are in contact with the textile surface, as demonstrated by our various quality tests.
Focusing on the coronavirus structure, we have developed a double finishing process.
The first one, based on the biocidal product ADRATEX RH, prevents the growth of microorganisms on the fabric, protecting it from bacteria and fungi.
The second one, with ADRATEX EX OCW, is focused on improving its effectiveness against the virus and it targets the viral envelope.
The results have been tested according to the following standards:
'ISO 20743:2013-pto 8.1' for fabrics with antibacterial properties (see test report).
In order to measure its effectiveness on the virus, these fabric tests have been done before and after being treated. After multiple machine washes and according to the Norm ‘ISO 18184: 2019 Determination of antiviral activity of textile products’, a reduction of the virus (feline coronavirus) of more than 95% was obtained within two hours.
We have also achieved excellent results in tests by Microbiological Solutions Limited (MSL) on our fabrics (see test report), which show these products maintain their properties after multiple washes.
